Observational Drawing

Art students had the assignment to draw from observation- or basically drawing still life as you see it in front of you.


Models ranged from human skulls, to flowers, to the most common being fruit. The best way to start an observational drawing we learned was by starting with a general shape of the object being drawn, then further rendering it with shading and highlights afterwards.
